The woman who checked us in was a little rude, but was nicer after I paid with the cc I reserved the room with. Most of the hotel is currently rented out to companies boarding day laborers and truck drivers. Decent breakfast, nice rooms and felt safe.
Very good service upon arrival. For the price, the room was very nice. Gave us the price for a single bed for a room with two beds. The room was very comfortable, bathroom was clean and well kept. Definitely high quality room for a very affordable price. Continental breakfast was served.
Rooms are very good size, and the beds are huge. Good hot breakfast in the morning, front desk staff was very nice. All in all, a good, solid hotel with big beds and big rooms. Edit: I talked briefly with one of the staff, an older gentleman, as he was making breakfast. He was very friendly, whistling and humming as he put everything out. I wish I could start the day in such a good mood!
Room was a little musty/moldy smelling, but seemed like a decent area and everyone I came into contact with were nice. Decently comfy bed. Even my request during making the reservation to turn the AC colder for me was done. Was nice and cold when I go there.
The bed was very firm, good for some, not so good for us. Breakfast was just adequate. Needed to be replenished more frequently. Microwave eggs, sausage, waffles....and the extras that are usually there. I do like that they have stopped having those comforters that very rarely get cleaned. New sheet-like coverlets, very good improvement. Would stay there again.
I live in Houston and my boyfriend lives in Dallas and this is the perfect spot to meet so we don't have to drive 4 hours to see each other. We usually stay over the weekends. The service is nice, and I enjoy talking to the lady at the front counter. During our last stay, we didn't get our room cleaned when we left during the day, but it didn't bother us too much. There are two grills outside that are free to use if you want to bring some steaks out and cook them :) that's what we did for New year's. Be sure to bring some foil though, the grills were well used!
It's an older quality and it could use a bit of a refresh but it is clean and have never had any issues.
The room is very good, despite the cockroach that was in the bathroom. The guy from the lobby stinks horrible. Please stop bringing people from 7 eleven. Or at least present with the wonders of soap and water. Everything else was very good. Excellent breakfast and plenty of parking even for big trucks.
